Lauren Neil is a kidlit influencer, who you may know from her Instagram account, @picturebookplaydate. She shares daily book recommendations across all levels of children’s books, from board books all the way through young adult novels. While she isn’t sure that she could ever choose one favorite book, a few of her favorites include JABARI JUMPS (picture book), THE GIRL WHO DRANK THE MOON (middle grade) and SCYTHE (young adult). Lauren lives in Austin with her husband (who thinks she has too many books), two kids (who wish we had more graphic novels and nonfiction books), and a dog (who can’t read but likes to pose for pictures with books). Lauren has enjoyed supporting BookSpring for a number of years and is grateful for their help getting books into the hands of kids who can enjoy them.
